2. Categories of Personal Data

The Controller processes personal data only to the extent necessary for operating the WMES platform, in particular:
  • identification and contact data (e.g. email address),
  • technical data (IP address, browser type, operating system),
  • operational and security logs related to platform usage,
  • usage data (access times, used features),
  • payment and transaction data necessary for payment mediation.
The Controller does not store complete payment card details. Payment data is processed exclusively by Stripe as a payment service provider.
Personal data is processed for the purposes of:
  • providing and operating the WMES platform,
  • ensuring payment processing,
  • complying with legal obligations, and
  • protecting the Controller’s legitimate interests.
The legal bases for processing are primarily Article 6(1)(b), (c), and (f) GDPR.

4. Stripe and Payment Processing

Payment services are provided by Stripe. Depending on the specific operation, Stripe acts either as:
  • an independent data controller, or
  • a data processor on behalf of the Controller.
Stripe’s processing of personal data is governed by its own contractual and privacy documentation, including its Data Processing Addendum.

5. International Data Transfers

Personal data may be transferred to third countries where necessary, in particular through Stripe or other infrastructure providers. Such transfers are carried out only with appropriate safeguards in accordance with Chapter V GDPR, including standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms.

6. Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is processed or as required by applicable law. After expiration of the retention period, personal data is securely deleted or anonymized.

Users have the right to:
  • access their personal data,
  • request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data,
  • request erasure of personal data where legally applicable,
  • request restriction of processing,
  • data portability,
  • object to processing,
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent,
  • lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The WMES platform may use cookies and similar technologies to ensure basic functionality, security, traffic measurement, and service improvement. Users may restrict or disable cookies in their browser settings; however, this may affect platform functionality.

The Controller implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or damage. Nevertheless, no method of data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Controller reserves the right to amend or update this Privacy Policy at any time. The current version is always available on the WMES website.
